Confusing process. We went to open an inherited Ira in person for my son on December 26th. The new account was created under his old username vs current account. We couldn’t find or access the account. Each time we called an agent would inform us to check the email and spam folder. We followed all the steps for a few weeks with no luck on finding that new account access nor paperwork submitted. Finally after an hour on the phone with a new agent we found that the account was created under his old username.
