My 80 year old dad's account was hacked. They took out $88,000. He's never taken out more than $10,000 and when he has he's always withheld taxes. But Fidelity didn't recognize a pattern where someone was allowed to take $88,000 out, way over the pattern. And he even had a cash freeze so no one can take money out of his account yet they did anyway.
abigal who attended the front desk attended me and multiple others with great coordination so everyone felt cared for. hope her great work and talent gets recognized.
The representative at this location who assisted me seemed misinformed, and didn't understand Fidelity's own forms and policies. She claimed I didn't have the necessary materials for my request and declined it, contradicting what was written on the form and what customer service assured me over the phone. I ended up walking across the river to their other location on Michigan Ave where they accepted everything no problem.
Horrible service
Wish I could give this 0 stars. This broker has provided the absolute worst customer service after essentially stealing my money. Shame on them. In the middle of working up a lawsuit smh. Hope you all have a better experience but if you have a shot at avoiding it, I would advise!!!
