My father passed away. He had a 401K with Fidelity. Me and my brother inherited his account. We gave them all the needed paperwork in early January. According to there policy we should have received the money in 2 weeks. Three months later they still have not transferred the stocks and money. If you plan on leaving money to your kids you better move your account to another broker. I am.

Third time in trying to get my wife and my accounts merged. They are truly understaffed and ill equipped to handle something as simple as that. There is back and forth with constant excuses & no answers. We enjoy Fidelity however this is frustrating. No one there could answer the simplest questions, you will get the run around.
