I came had two appointments and had two meetings with your representative and was told he would send us a plan after our meeting in week of 4/17/2026. I was promised he would send it by end of week. We have received not a call or any plan and it is almost a month. I am extremely disappointed. I have always dealt with Fidelity with my account out of their head quarters. Although I have misgivings about Fidelity in general, I had a wonderful experience with Lilien Woolbert at the Albany branch today. She really went above and beyond to help me with a difficult situation and made sure I understood and that my needs had been addressed. She was a seriously impressive financial representative and Fidelity and the Albany branch are lucky to have her. Also, the vibe was pretty nice in there. Nothing against the wolf road office, but fidelity as a company is living in the dark ages. even their telephone wait music hasn't been updated in 30 years. I'm recently retired from the business and occasionally used their 529 plans and other things for many years so I'm familiar with their wait times and the music. Now I wanted to open an account for one of their funds that I like and cash management liquid options. Problems with the account so I had to call in and WAIT. Going to Vanguard instead.
My father-in-law had his retirement account transferred by his ex-employer to Fidelity from another financial services company. It was a somewhat complex situation. We went into the Albany office and, although it took two hours, Lilien was very helpful and did everything that she could to help resolve the situation. Dealing with Fidelity can be complicated, but so far I have had only positive interactions with this local office.
