Dear Pat Wright, Please read this. I'd love ferrets to be legalized in CA but I have concerns. One is I don't want them to allow retail sale of ferrets, due to Marshall BioResources. Marshall BioResources mistreats, inbreeds and spays/neuters ferrets too early. They also mutilate them by "descenting" ferrets which is an unethical procedure that does nothing to reduce their odor, it is a removal of their rear glands and ferrets have pain from the procedure, but they hide their pain to avoid looking vulnerable.
