About this business

Hi! I am Meredith Chernick of Fern Street Pottery in Indianola, Washington, where I spend my days making pots for people to use and enjoy on a daily basis. I personally design, throw, form, glaze, fire and even photograph each piece of work from my studio. I believe that functional pottery should start with form in mind. From my hands to yours, I want a piece of pottery that I make to fit into your hands and into your life with beauty, satisfaction and comfort. All my functional ware is lead-free, dishwasher and microwave sa... read more

This is SO long overdue! Everyday, I look around my kitchen and I smile, because I see my whimsical and beautifully crafted pieces by Meredith, and they just make me happy! These are just a few that were in my sights this morning. I’ve known Meredith for over 15 years. She is kind, thoughtful, witty, hard working and passionate about her craft, which obviously shows. I’ve given Meredith’s pottery as gifts to family and friends over the years, and they’re ALWAYS a hit. So much so that they’re now Fern Street Pottery collector... read more

Ordered 5 mugs from FSP for the my daughter and her 4 college housemates for their graduation gift. Although it took a bit longer than I hoped, the quality and craftsmanship made everything okay. I would not hesitate recommending this work to anyone

First and foremost, Meredith's Fern Street Pottery is among the most beautifully crafted, user-friendly (her mug handles really are the most heavenly to hold!), and warming of hot beverages that I have been able to find. Add to that she provides the kindest and most thoughtful customer care you can experience, and purchasing from her array of artful ceramics is simply the right choice. I can't say enough about how pleased we have been with our mugs from Fern Street--but they truly convey joy every day we put them to use, whi... read more

Fern Street Pottery creates the most beautiful pieces I’ve ever seen. I have purchased more than 10 pieces over the past two years including mugs, pour overs, hamsas, serving bowl, and a candy dish. I have gifted some and kept others. The glazes are gorgeous and the pieces are incredibly high quality. I particularly enjoy when there is a one of a kind color that draws me to a mug. There’s no better pottery available. I will continue to add to my collection for years to come.
