Fencing is a great sport for kids. My son has the chance to get trained by the coaches here in the BASIS elementary school. Guess what, he's hooked on fencing after that. It's a fast sport, the training help him to concentrate better, react faster, and working hard to focus on the end goal. Perhaps the most important lesson that my son has learned how to take brutal failures in a positive way, never give up, strategize and persevere to find ways to get things done. Although I do not go to this club anymore, it was a great experience when I did. The people there are great, hard-working people.
This is one of the best fencing clubs I have ever been a part of, and I have experienced a lot of fencing clubs. I actually moved here from another place in order to train full time at this club. Not only are the fencers that attend this club exceptional but the head coach, Bill Becker, is one of the best in the world. His lesson are amazingly effective and the training he gives us really prepares us for high level competitions.
