I began banking locally when I moved into Massillon in '98. I also bank with a large Pennsylvania firm and a well-known one centered in Columbus. I have been treated well, by & large, at both Farmers locations. Occasionally, I must use the 'Mayflower' branch due to downtown's being closed---not a large inconvenience. I have noticed a bit of a turnover among teller staff in recent (post-Covid?) years which has caused a snag or two. I have had a good experience with Farmers. The tellers have always been polite and helpful. This morning I called to verify a transaction. As I was about to hang up the woman on the phone gave me very valuable advice—something important I needed to know that I hadn’t been told by the other bank and the credit union where I do business. I am very grateful. I highly recommend that you look into Farmers for any safety deposit boxes you may need. Usually have no problems here as my family has been banking here probably 30 years but the rudeness of the teller the other day took me by surprise. She refused to cash a check citing signatures looked different from ID to check and that she didn't know me.
Would not cash my check after doing business for years with them. Said the writing on the check looked different. Highly disappointed in the service and trust. I gave my ID and everything.
If I could give 0 that would be more like it. They are rude, and wouldn't exchange rolled coins unless you had an account. Makes no sense.
