Farmers and Merchants Bank, through their AMC, contracted our appraisal firm to complete a rush appaisal on a property in our area. It’s been 2 1/2 months since the appraisal was submitted and we’ve yet to receive payment. We’ve been told repeatedly “the check’s in the mail” but have yet to see it. At this point we will have no choice but to place a lien on the homeowner’s property. If this is the way this bank treats small business owners, I’d certainly be wary of doing business with them.
