In early 2025, the District Attorney closed the ridiculous case against Brittany Patterson for her son walking a mile to a store. (Their whole theory that she should be with her child and so they are going to punish her by putting her in jail for months where she can't be with her child is a little screwy.) Arresting a parent because a 11yr old decided to walk to the store on his own is ridiculous. We have kids walking around our town at that age all the time. They also ride their bikes around the neighborhood alone all the time. No one gets arrested for this. You should be ashamed for even pursuing charges against this mother. Don't you have any real criminals to prosecute.
