I like Dan. I gave him my tax prep business for about 20 years. However, I chose another preparer this year. He can thank his office associate for that. Last tax season they hung up on me not once, or twice, but three times when I called with my displeasure upon finding that they had failed to verify completion of their e-filing. I also wasn't pleased that they didn't anticipate and adjust for certain tax implications of changes in my situation that then resulted in tax penalties. There was more. They had one job.

When there was some turnover in the municipality where I worked, we engaged Dan Fanelli and Robert Ippolitto to help with some accounting and procedural reviews. They did a great job. I would engage them again. Thank you both.

A one-star rating is too generous for Dan Fanelli (Fanelli & Co., LLC Accountants). For the first time in over 20 years of Dan filing our taxes, we had complicated taxes this year and Dan filed for an extension. The problem is he did not communicate to us that that the extension merely applied to the paperwork and that we needed to send in an estimated payment by April 15. Clearly they shouldn’t be doing taxes because they’re still making the same mistakes and having the audacity to make customers pay for services that weren’t done . On top of that the rudest customer service skills a person could have in a business setting. If I could give 0 stars that would be better. Check out Beth Stoltzfus for your taxes!
