I brought my Old Hickory chair in to be recained, I included a a picture of what the chair looked like when it was originally made in 1940. Pete at Family Heirloom Furniture Restoration assured me he could restore it back to its original beauty. I am beyond pleased with the quality of his restoration of my chair. I have 30 year old oak farm house table that needing the top refinished. After calling several places I gave the job to Peter at Family Heirloom Restoration. I liked him the first time we met. He gave me a honest price, I saw some of his work and he told me how long it would take As time went on he gave me periodic updates with photos. Fast, fair price and honest
I had my mother’s Lane cedar chest refinished. It was an orangey color, heavily varnished, and had some damage on the corners. A family member tried to refurbish it and did more damage. Pete was able to fix all the damage, strip the varnish and then stain it with a nice warm finish. It turned out beautifully! Unfortunately I don’t have the before photos but here are some in-progress and after photos.
