I have been a member of this federal credit union for some time and currently hold a mortgage loan with them, and my experience has been extremely frustrating. Communication has been a consistent issue. When I do receive responses, the information is often unclear, inconsistent, or incomplete, making it unnecessarily difficult to manage my mortgage and get straightforward answers to basic questions. There is a lot to hate about this credit union. So let me list them. Not allowed to use your card as a CC if you use it more the. 6 times a day. They will lock it and leave you stranded without money. Same if you use your debit card over 10 times. This could be for small things from $1 to what ever under 300$. They won't allow you to buy what ever online if it is not US based. Forget about buying anything from overseas. They outright block your card. As one of the first teacher members who used to go to Molly and Len's den to do our "banking", I'll always be grateful. Without our credit union, we could never have purchased our first house. We moved to NC 18 years ago and still use our same accounts down here remotely and problem free.
I can't say enough positive things about the folks in this branch. I called yesterday with a potential problem with a direct deposit with a problem with the account number. They posted the payment manually for me on time and will do so the next couple of months until the sender corrects the problem. This level of service isn't unusual. Everyone I speak with is kind and helpful.
Family First Credit Union on Browncroft Blvd is the best banking I was having some technical issues and stopped in for help. Kyla was very helpful and courteous
