After casually speaking to Adrian about my finances with my vehicle, we both discovered I was paying an incredible amount of interest on top of a noticeably high car payment. Please avoid this Credit Union at all costs. I was exploring options to refinance my car loan and and agent with the name of Shaelisse Vazquez contact me by email with cero availability to call customers. I found this company , after reading all the reviews , that is an ongoing problem of their own . To get a 2.9 rating it tells you a lot. Please , Please, avoid Shaelisse Vazquez, who thinks she is so important on earth. Recommended by The RAMSEY Show, I have nothing but GREAT things to say about my experience with FAIRWINDS Credit Union. As a current resident of Massachusetts, this Credit Union combined with online banking and shared branching ATM’s has made my financial life very simple and easy. If you’re on the fence, go for it! They also have amazing customer support.
Would not use for CD, savings, etc. Opened a CD here transferred money into the account with minor difficulty. Once the CD matured, I tried to transfer that money to my usual bank only to find that in order to transfer my money I would need to 1) transfer a max amount per month for 6+ months or 2) pay them to wire transfer at once. So basically, you have to pay to get any amount over $5000 at one time. What a joke. Also, website is glitchy and not user friendly. I’m very disappointed with the customer service at this credit union. I was exploring options for a personal loan, and someone at the branch recommended that I apply for a home equity loan instead. I decided to move forward with the process, but the communication from the loan officer was terrible. I constantly had to follow up just to find out whether anything was moving forward or if additional documents were needed. I actually let another loan option pass because I was waiting on this one.
