TheFabyan Forest Preserve is a stretch of forested land along the Fox River which is quite the tourist hot spot. Many come to enjoy a day of relaxation fishing in the river or hiking and biking along the nearby park while others are drawn in by its historic aspect. The park gets its name from the Fabyan family who purchased this area and set up an estate which they called Riverbank in the early 20th Century. The scenic route around the river includes a sewage plant and ends in a hospital and residential roads. The sidewalks on these roads also end abruptly forcing pedestrians to turn back or brave fast traffic. Eventually there's a service road that leads to the japanese garden, which is woefully maintained, if at all. Overall the windmill was cool, but the rest of the experience is completely neglected by the town
