Explore has been an incredible resource for my son. We first learned about it through his therapist, who mentioned a local, OT-based outdoor group focused on helping kids with grounding, behavior, confidence, and social skills through nature-based activities. OT group has made a remarkable difference in our daughter’s life (our ours). When we started, she was shy & reluctant to try things. By the second and third OT session she was coming out of her shell and engaging w/ the amazing staff. My son had a great experience doing the outdoor camp. We were nervous as he is on the spectrum and prefers being inside on the tablet. He thrived and loved going to camp! We'll definitely be back next year!
My son has been with some aspect of Explore Pediatric for three years, and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about Kim and all the Explore staff. After graduating from the wonderful nature based OT groups, my son has thrived in the forest adventure group. I love that he has a set dedicated time each week to PLAY in the woods with friends, and have the opportunity to work out disagreements amongst themselves. My son has been attending one of EXPLORE’s Nature Adventure Groups, and I can’t say enough good things about it! He’s always loved nature, and this group has been the perfect way for him to channel that interest while spending time outdoors with friends in a relaxed setting.
