This happened on December 11. Absolutely the WORST moving experience I have ever had. These Haitian movers were beyond rude and unprofessional from the moment they arrived. Wish I could give ZERO STARS. They openly refused to bring our furniture into the house unless they received a “good tip” first basically holding our belongings hostage after already being paid for the service. I had a very disappointing experience with Expedited Moving, and I would strongly advise others to be cautious. Initially, I was quoted $180 per hour by their sales person Danilo and told the entire move would take around 4 hours. Based on that estimate, I decided to go with them. However, once the movers arrived, things quickly changed. After loading all my belongings onto the truck, they informed me after the fact that there would be an additional $180 charge for returning the truck to Newark (an extra hour). I’m writing a review because this company is horrendous. I hired them last year to help with a very last-minute move and for them to pack our items and take them to a local storage unit. Not only did they not send able bodied grown men; they sent two very haphazard young folks to do the work and they ended up packing open food and putting it in boxes in my storage.
