Sold me a Jotul gas fireplace a few years ago. It was a lemon from the beginning. It continued to ash up. They came out a couple times to clean it and check its function, each time suggesting that someone had moved the logs around and that I was the problem. This isn’t even feasible given that the unit is contained and requires tools to take off the front in order to access the logs. I stopped by their brand-new showroom at Evergreen Home and Hearth in Trenton and was blown away by the beautiful layout and massive selection of stoves and inserts. Their team helped me choose the perfect model for my home and handled the installation flawlessly.
Evergreen does not stand behind their work. They installed a fireplace for us and during the install they cut some wires and we of course lost power in three rooms. After multiple attempts to get them to take responsibility they literally told me they had nothing to do with it and would not help or even come look at their work. Another bad vendor in Maine that doesn’t stand behind their services. I even reached out to their owner twice, but they continue to say it is not their responsibility to fix what they broke.

In regards to your reply that was totally inaccurate, you guys have more excuses than who knows what and never admit any culpability here's the truth, when I purchased the stove because I was literally told " take it out of the crate and turn it on" totally untrue, I elected to do the install due to being misinformed, had I been told the correct information I would have said " definitely install it" I'm not the only person unhappy with your shifty service department, I absolutely informed the Better Business Bureau of your s... read more
