Nice neighborhood place – A perfect place to go to when I run out of generic staples like milk, potatoes, onions, coke, chips, etc..! Which is what generally happens sunday morning.. I go there more than I would like to, simply because they are so close to where I live.. They are a little on the expensive side, but, I am willing to pay the extra money for convinience.. They also accept credit cards which is wonderful.. I just wish they'd stay open longer, atleast till 9..
Above average neighborhood grocer This corner shop on Massachusetts Ave between Harvard and Porter Squares has a good selection of fresh meats, produce, and breads. Its a great place to stop in to pick up ingredients for a single meal, although I wouldn't want to do a bulk shopping trip there because of high prices and limited selections. The aisles are a bit narrow, so it is quite hard to get around with a stroller.
Local Grocery Store Evergood is a nice place to run into if you are missing something for your dinner, etc. It is also nice if you don't have a car and need to walk to you grocery store. Although I wouldn't recommend it if you want to do a large gracery shopping becuase the stock is limited and things tend to be overpriced.
