Evans and Meads has charged me, as the closing attorney of the buyer of my former second home, $50 to send my settlement check to me OVERNIGHT by UPS. Our transaction closed 2/28, I received nothing on 2/29, and was then informed by UPS on Friday 3/1 that my "overnight" check should arrive on Monday 3/4. Probably. I got several quotes to handle our closing on the purchase of a property in the OBX. This firm’s fee was very competitive. The attorney, Laura, was on the money with clear, timely, concise communication. She handled the transaction seamlessly. And she seemed to share our excitement for the purchase. Highly recommend.
I highly recommend the law firm of Evans & Meads. In 2019 I worked with the legal office on a difficult foreclosure closing. The office was very responsive and a good advocate on representing my interests to the seller and bank. Their law office assisted with escrow distributions and was good with communication whenever I had a question. I went back to Laura Meads three years later for an easement issue.
