Settling an estate and filing taxes. Called to get just the tax information of interest paid on account. Woman gave me no help whatsoever. Told me to go to a branch. Ever think family does not live close to any of your branches??! Worthless bank. Beyond unhelpful. You can't talk to separate branches. Their number goes to useless headquarters in Stroudsburg. Go elsewhere for your banking.

Called the service center to remedy some issues and get clarity on some things. I spoke with "Connie". When asking questions and clarifying information she was giving me, I wasn't given any solution or remedy but told in so many words that I should "be more responsible and pay attention" with an indignant tone. I have been satisfied with ESSA in every other way and am particularly happy with the folks at my local branch but such rude people working on the end of the phone who are supposed to be helpful and find solutions is ... read more
Maybe other folks have had a bad experience due to outdated technology, but I feel it must have been updated in the past 2 or 3 years. We have a mortgage and two accounts with them. The app sometimes can slow, but TD bank has the same issue; as I would assume with all bank apps. If you live in the Pocono area, this is a very decent bank to do business with. 👌
