Do NOT work with this firm, they are a rip off, they do not answer questions and do not work in a professional manner. They did not reduce my tax bill and still charged a fee....sent to collections without providing adequate detail.

I run a Property Management business with 100 homes in management and am active Realtor Sales Agent. I appeal the taxes on my personal properties essentially every year the taxes are not frozen unless they seem to be at a very reasonable level, and every year I recommend that all my clients do the same. I use Equitax 100% of the time. They do a far better job than I could ever do and have had a very high success rate for me and everyone I have sent their way. I used Equitax to appeal a commercial property in Alpharetta. They were very professional and I would highly recommend using their tax appeal services.

If I could give zero stars, I would. DO NOT under any circumstances use these people. When I did, they failed to communicate AT ALL, negotiated a settlement for me regardless of the fact that they did not have power of attorney, and just announced it as a done deal. I had to sue the county to fix the assessment, and then I sued these guys in small claims court for acting as an attorney when they are not licensed to do so. I won a default judgment when they failed to respond to the complaint, but I still had to tangle with th... read more

Equitax was very unprofessional to deal with. They sent a collection notice charging an administrative fee plus collection agency fee just within less than 30 days of final county tax notice stating there was ZERO reduction of my property tax. Essentially a business scam to bill a customer without delivering any service or result. Whenever I call the business, it's always the answering service and never spoken to a tax professional. I will contest their charges. This business is unethical and should be avoided!
