I have never had a good experience with them.
I would not rent a car or recommend anyone renting from there. I was given a weekly rate and when I asked if it could be returned earlier do I get it pro rated and they said yes. But I was lied to and returned it 2 days early for the same price as a week. If I had known this I would never have rented. I should have known and felt like they were trying to take advantage of me at first quoting me different prices for the week. I rented from the Bangor Enterprise while my car was having some repairs. The staff was very courteous and helpful. They worked directly with my insurance company and were very upfront with me about the costs I would need to cover. The vehicle itself was fine. It was clean and in great condition.
My family and friends arrived to a wretched experience by an adjacent rental agency. We were saved by Nick Sarrete who helped us through working with Enterprise and personally made accommodations for a new rental with his team calling nearby locations and making sure we were satisfied! All his team were delightful and clearly happily employed under Nick’s dazzling leadership (Im not being hyperbolic!). John Daughty was a really great also, as was Marshall and Luke! We got a car from the Bangor Airport (Brand New 2025 Never Driven) and we were on vacation for the first time in Bar Harbor. We were heading down to Rhode Island on our Road trip and warnings came on the car that had something to do with the brakes. We contacted Enterprise and they said we needed to go our of our way 26 miles to return the car and pick up another.
