Rented from Estle 3 times now. Always simple and efficient process.
The representative “Jake”, at the Defiance Ohio location was rude on the phone when inquiring about picking up my rental car. I thought maybe he was just having a bad day that day. However, when calling to verify my rental car return, he was rude again on the phone, and definitely was not friendly when I arrived to return my car. If he doesn’t like to deal with customers, maybe he should get a different job, that doesn’t deal with the public. It really puts a negative tone on Enterprise since he “represents” the company. We were very disappointed with our first experience renting from Defiance Enterprise. We rented a vehicle and were set to pick it up on a Friday and got a call at 4:59 pm on Thursday saying they didn’t have a car for us. They closed at 5:00 so just very poor communication and put a damper on our entire weekend plans for our family.
Had an insurance claim, needed a car. Called 2 weeks ahead to reserve so I would have a car when I dropped mine off to be repaired. Sat and waited a half hour only to be told he just rented the last car to the person 2 people ahead of me. Assured me he would call early afternoon when he got more cars returned. Waited all afternoon for the call, never happened. Tried to call the local number but went to headquarters, with no help. So arrived at opening time, 8 am, but Jake was late getting here.
