I attended the Milky Way excursion in Southern Utah in July of 2025 with Enlighten Photography. Seth Hamel guided us through Zion, Briyce and areas outside of Kanab. Seth's positive and friendly energy was contagious and made the adventure even more interesting and exciting. His expertise in finding the best locations through challenging terrain and coaching us on the camera settings necessary to capture the moment was awesome!
I have gone on several trips with Seth - each one has been an absolutely amazing experience! On this Milky Way trip, we had one night of clouds which was a bit disappointing, but Seth quickly re-arranged our itinerary so that we could hit two different amazing locations the next night. Seth was great. I did a 3 night Milky Way workshop in Zion, Brice Canyon and Kanab. We photographed sunset and the Milky Way all three nights, with multiple locations each night and got a lesson on editing Milky Way photos on the last morning. He was very helpful in getting my camera properly set up for photographing the Milky Way and gave us tips throughout the workshop on ways to improve our pictures. As always Seth is a wonderful guide and Instructor. We came away from our class with amazing picture and great stories, from our experience. Even with the fires interfering with our photo shooting in Bryce. Seth was very flexible and did great to still give us the best opportunity to get great pictures
This was by far the best experience we had on our grand circle road trip. We were able to rent equipment from Seth to use throughout the day to get both sunrise and sunset photos. Even though we were novices, Seth helped us to feel comfortable and confident. He checked in with us to see if settings were right and let us explore our surroundings to see what best inspired us.
