EnergySage charges a significant cost to the companies they recommend, adding to your cost. They did a good job comparing the company’s, but is it worth the extra cost? Probably not.
UPDATE: I followed the below instructions from Energy Sage and have received no response from them at all. Worse than useless service. Just posting to appear helpful but not doing anything for their customers. Terrible experience going with a solar installer provided/vetted by EnergySage. Completely useless service that caused me to hire an installer (PlugPV /Palmetto Solar that failed numerous inspections and deadlines. Now the system produces nowhere near estimated power amounts.
Once I selected an installer through EnergySage, I was a little nervous about what the actual process would look like. Construction and installation projects at a business can be disruptive, and I didn't have weeks to deal with delays or miscommunication. Thankfully, none of that happened. Terrible service. Partnered with SolarLeasing who does not return calls and the system they sold us stopped working after 4months from when it was turned on. Nearly 5 mknths later and the system is not producing. Full electricity bill plus solar panel bill and a lein on a house. Great deal right?? No... Run...
I had an awful experience with Energy Sage. They recommended a solar installer (whom I had not heard of) but they assured me it was among their highest rated. I went with the installer ONLY because ES was so strong in their recommendation. Installer went bankrupt. Energy Sage promised me they would help me get my rooftop solar project finished. All words.
