Came over to ESOW when Burgundy Wine shuttered. ESOW has a wide range of offerings in both geography and price. Staff (I've worked with several) has good advice to help with purchase decisions.

Alright I’ve waited long enough. After over 5 purchases now I can say this place sells only bad wines. Unless you come for expensive wines (and in that case you can find them elsewhere for much cheaper) don’t go there. It’s bad (and I rarely leave a review). Edit after owner's reply : I came back because of the (incredibly suspicious) ratings. And btw, half your wine on discount is corked. This is a review, to help people make a choice. Eddy and his team at Empire State of Wine are incredible! They have helped me great vintage special gift wines a handful of times. Most recently they have gone above and beyond to pick out amazing well priced wines for my wedding, and an epic 9 liter bottle of Champagne with a crank stand! We had multiple guests say it was the best wine they had ever had at a wedding, all thanks to Empire State of Wine. I am grateful for their amazing customer service!

In a city filled with wonderful wine shops, this one might be the best. Awesome staff, incredible selection, great finds and sales. Would give 10 stars if I could!
