We started coming to empire therapy when my son was 8 weeks old due to Torticollis and horrible reflux pain. He was able to be seen pretty quickly but an OT and within a few weeks (along with a tongue and lip tie release) he improved immensely. They advised that he keep being seen until he mastered crawling. So, at 13.5 months old he was discharged today. Overall we’ve had a pleasant experience with Empire therapy. This place has become a second home to us. My son sees Alexis and she strikes the perfect balance of having a healthy rapport with her clients and possessing a deep knowledge of her profession. She is silly and fun but also knows how to command my son’s (very divided) attention. Teresa at the front desk is also dear to us and the office communicates exceptionally well when there are cancellations or if we need to move things around. Unfortunately this was a really overwhelming and belittling experience for my daughter and I. Surprisingly unsupportive environment for a therapy clinic where surely most clients are struggling visibly or invisibly. My daughter's sensory overwhelm at being in a new place and having to take her shoes off in a loud waiting room was treated as if it were simply bratty behavior. So thankful we brought our newborn here. In addition to helping him quickly progress throughmilestones, they've been able to address odd issues as they come up and make small suggestions for things to try to help us get more sleep and keep him happier. The entire staff has been wonderful, and I think we'd be significantly less sane without their help.
I’ve gotten amazing specialized treatment for my needs at Empire Therapy. I highly recommend them.
