I have been in Emerald's building for 3 and 1/2 years...I have lived in an apartment in assisted living for 3 of those years. I am young in age for living in an assisted living but life showed up and here I am. I feel well taken care of and safe here. They do a lot of things that I'm not able to do for myself anymore and yet I have enough independence too. If you're looking for an assisted living facility for you or a loved one, take a tour and say "Hi"! I definitely recommend!!
I was at Emerald for 7 months. The care was great, and the staff wonderful. Everyone from nursing, CNAs, housekeeping, dietary, maintenance, they were all kind, compassionate and did their best for me. The therapy department is top notch and took me much further than I thought I ever could. Thank you all, I am forever grateful!
Overcharging, no care given, bugs in rooms, and elderly left to fend for themselves. You can drive by 1am through 4 am and see multiple caregivers smoking inside the doors. They make the two elderly that do smoke, do so by the road, in the cold/heat. The caregivers often leave entire floors unattended for extended periods of time. Do not take your loved ones here if you can help it.
Absolutely do not send your loved one here. They will neglect and abuse them. Leave them in urine soaked bandages and clothing. Give out wrong medication. Not provide pain medication even after experiencing a hip fracture and begging for some relief. If your loved one requires a two person assist to the bathroom or to walk at all, absolutely forget about it, that’s not going to happen.
