EMDR changes the way the brain deals with trauma. Gulin is wonderful and patient. She understands the root of deep trauma. Through EMDR we were able to "reprogram" how a traumatic event becomes less to non invasive. It changes the ending so that when the event is thought of, it refers to a new and calm version. It worked for me pretty much right away, and we were able to tackle trauma from 40 years ago. Gulin is fantastic and is my go-to for help.

After several years of talk therapy I was not making the progress I wanted. I decided to try EDMR and came across Gulin and EMDR Kitchener through pyschologytoday. I was able to get into treatment quickly and within 6 months I completed treatment. Gulin was able to do virtual sessions that were highly effective meaning anyone in Ontario with reliable internet is able to access her services. The technique used for EMDR was very different for me, and initially I felt uncomfortable, but as the sessions went on I found it easier to follow instructions, and concentrate on what I was supposed to think about. Definitely better for me than talk therapy, and eventually I felt like we worked through everything and I felt less anxious.
