After several years of talk therapy I was not making the progress I wanted. I decided to try EDMR and came across Gulin and EMDR Kitchener through pyschologytoday. I was able to get into treatment quickly and within 6 months I completed treatment. Gulin was able to do virtual sessions that were highly effective meaning anyone in Ontario with reliable internet is able to access her services. The technique used for EMDR was very different for me, and initially I felt uncomfortable, but as the sessions went on I found it easier to follow instructions, and concentrate on what I was supposed to think about. Definitely better for me than talk therapy, and eventually I felt like we worked through everything and I felt less anxious.

My first session we dove straight into EMDR and I was left with severe anxiety and stuck in my trauma as she left for vacation the next day. This was incredibly careless and unprofessional and could have been a huge liability had I perused legal action.
