The Elyria Bicycle Center was founded about 7 years by Ed Stewart and some other bicycle enthusiasts. They started out across the street in a very small space and then had the opportunity to buy the former hardware store owned by Phil Stamitti for decades. This place is staffed by all volunteers. I brought my bicycle into Elyria Bicycle Center for a potential gear shifter problem. Erica said it would be about 2 weeks before the bicycle would be repaired. I mentioned that I sold the bicycle, but would let the buyer know of the delay. 2 hours later I got a call from Eric stating the bicycle repairs were done. That is great customer service and the cost was very reasonable. Thanks Erica. I would recommend highly the Elyria Bicycle Center.

This place is AMAZING! Nice convenient location! They have alot of bikes to choose from and The Staff are Awesome! Ed was so patient, kind, and knowledgeable...helped my friend pick a bike out and test drive it outside (raised up the seat & showed him how, too)...helped get him find a bag to carry things (& put it on) and a lock. He helped us change the code on the lock....I forgot to check on a headlight & taillight but know they will be able to help...Ed asked all the right questions to get Tommy what "he" needed...
