Will be taking my bike here for any future repairs or upgrades. The guys were awesome. I walked in with my bike needing just a new chain but they said they were pretty busy with a wait time of a couple weeks. I offered to just buy the chain and a chain tool to see if I could do it myself and they ended up just taking the bike they were working on off of the stand and throwing mine up there and threw me a new chain on right there. Horrible experience every single time I call. This time I called asking for availability and pricing on any shock b4 I wasted time driving all the way up there. Had all the dimensions specs of what I needed told them the bike. Still completely refused to give any information at all unless I brought the bike up there. Had complete dimensions of the shock spring everything.
Super nice guy, fixed my issue in about three minutes. Will be a return customer for sure!
The Elyria Bicycle Center was founded about 7 years by Ed Stewart and some other bicycle enthusiasts. They started out across the street in a very small space and then had the opportunity to buy the former hardware store owned by Phil Stamitti for decades. This place is staffed by all volunteers. I brought my bicycle into Elyria Bicycle Center for a potential gear shifter problem. Erica said it would be about 2 weeks before the bicycle would be repaired. I mentioned that I sold the bicycle, but would let the buyer know of the delay. 2 hours later I got a call from Eric stating the bicycle repairs were done. That is great customer service and the cost was very reasonable. Thanks Erica. I would recommend highly the Elyria Bicycle Center.
