Do not buy furniture from this company. I purchased two Bellecour arm chairs for our piano room, a room barely ever used, the front legs keep falling off due to poor construction of the chair. The frame is made out of particle board, because of this the front legs keep falling out. I have even had a furniture repair company out to try and fix. The frame is so poorly made no more fixes can be made. I would expect far better quality for chairs that are $2,995 each!!!
Wonderful shop full of lovely items for decor and dining, and great furniture. Very pleasant and welcoming proprietor. I'm so glad I found it! (Beware: the Google maps instructions are pretty awful. If it is your first time visiting, you may want to just park by Petes coffee and walk back through the buildings and across a small parking lot.)
I ordered a French crock and shipping took a while. When it arrived, it smelled like a sewer. I washed it out with soap and water, and some kind of brown filth came out of the handles. It continues to smell like a sewer. I emailed them about the issue and never heard anything back. Obviously I was very disappointed with the quality of the item and customer service was nonexistent. I will not be purchasing from this store again.
Unfortunately, my last order did not meet expectations in terms of customer service and delivery. I ordered antique tureens for my daughter's birthday, and one month later, they still had not arrived. When I called Elsie Green, I was told they'd been trying to contact e as the book I also ordered was out of print and they hadn't yet fulfilled the remaining part of the order. I have placed many online orders with this shop and have always had a great experience. Fast shipping, and great customer service with prompt response when needed. And of course, a lovely selection of vintage goods frequently updated.
