Like the others are saying, I love the idea but the customer service is non-existent. I have been trying to close my account for months, I keep getting the same automated email response. Essentially YOU CAN NEVER QUIT THIS. It is impossible. And I keep getting emails about withdrawals. It is garbage. Women, I urge you to find a better resource, go to your banks, compose your own personalized tool kits because not only is this process frustrating but also they are doing exactly the opposite of what they pride their mission to... read more

I wish I had read all the reviews earlier. I love the concept, but I've been trying to get my money from them for almost two weeks now. All I want is communication to know that what I want is being done. I'm really concerned because now one of my accounts has a 0 balance, and I had asked them to liquidate it, send me a check from that account and close it. I have asked a few times now if a check was sent and when, but have gotten no answer! I certainly don't feel empowered as a woman with them!!!

Love the concept and huge fan of the founder however I set up the account to create frictionless monthly investing and somehow my bank account never fully connected. I was disappointed to sign on months later to find that I had $0 in the account with a notice that they needed more info from my bank to complete the reoccurring transfer while I continued to get charged the monthly fee. A SCAM! I have tried to cancel since January, and they have taken my money month after month, with no end in sight. I have been attempting to move my Roth IRA to Fidelity since January, yet every time I contact them they state that they are still waiting on paperwork. I am so frustrated. This operation should be shut down.

Very impressed when I read about the ideology and women support. But at this point after 2 days of interaction with opening an account etc, feels like it is not real. Just another company with no customer service. Do not know at this point whether it is going to get better or worse later. I hoped that Ellevest would have matched to their image projection as I was looking forward to this with a lot of expectation.
