I went to defend my position on the way over priced assessments and the people I interacted with were exceptionally pleasant to deal with. They are sending someone out to view the properties to better evaluate the value! Cant beat that! Still though, paying taxes based on the current value verses what I paid fir it is greed! Seniors should not have to pay property taxes! You're taxing them out of their own houses!!!! We worked for our stuff! Stop trying to make money on us!!!
THIS YEAR WAS MY WORST EXPERIENCE AT THE ELKHART COUNTY ACCESSOR OFFICE. My property taxes were so jacked-up by the demise of the CONCORD ACCESSOR OFFICE. MY TAXES WERE SO WRONG, THE Elkhart County staff had to come out to my property to properly assess correctly. My assesment went from 108,500 to 64,500. When I pointed out the obvious, and was told I was wrong, I was treated as if I was FALUSLY ACCUSING THE COUNTY. NOTE: EVERYONE NEEDS TO LOOK OVER THEIR PERSONL PROPERTY TAXES.
