For some reason my dealership financed my lease through Elga. I won’t be returning to that dealership given how awful Elga has been. 1990s level online banking platform. Insanely bad service. Their new online tool can’t accept PNC transfers/payments - no one at Elga knew why or could estimate a resolve date. Couldn’t give zero stars or I would have without hesitation. For MONTHS the online banking system has not been able to connect to PNC and therefore required a workaround to pay our vehicle lease. Today, the workaround broke. Yet again, the call center staff has no idea what happened, and they can't take payment over the phone so I have to wait for a call back. Easily the worst online platform I have ever seen and the support staff isn't able to resolve issues. It's a pretty decent credit union. They do seem pretty lazy at the headquarters. They tend to drag their feet on some issues, I had a loan transferred to ELGA, and they sent the check late, which caused some issues that I had to fix. I got absolutely no help from corporate on that even though it was their fault and any other bank would have handled it. Also, the rewards program is absolutely useless unless you're pushing tens of thousands of dollars through your account every month. Other than that, not too bad.
Do not trust ELGA with your money! The rudest customer service from Theresa. She was hostile and aggressive when they made a mistake that overdrew my account. Despite all the evidence, she refused to genuinely apologize and tried to blame me. All while a fancy catered meal is being set up in the office and I can't afford to eat because they screwed up.
