Update 2/12/26…my account was charged Another $32 in fees today and I was notified that if I didn’t pay the entire amount TODAY that my account would be sent to collections. They are well aware that I haven’t worked since October 4, 2025 but it doesn’t make a difference, I couldn’t even pay partial payments. My tax refund will be here tomorrow But they will have sent me to collection by then. I’m prepared to pay off debts that will help my situation and leave the others such as Elga Credit Union until everything else is paid... read more
My experiences with Elga have typically been terrible. I was going to pay off my account a few days ago but im waiting on the mail to deliver my check. Today i got the third late fee in 90 days and the third late payment reporting on my credit report. The $25 late fee is just something im getting used to as well as Darnold pulling my credit everytime I call. I will never use this credit union again.
Thank You, Elga Credit Union closed my account over a negative balance with zero notice - no email, no letter. Completely unprofessional. That’s poor customer service, need better online customer service, plain and simple. On top of that, the online banking system and app are awful and hard to use. The old system was far better. Very disappointed with how this was handled. Taking my business elsewhere.
Their purple debit cards have become famous at the local retailers lately for failing consistently. Absolute garbage. First, your tap will quit(2wks tops). Then, bc it's a hassle too get a new card so soon. You push on. Insert card, swipe away. But wait, after a month, the numbers start to wear off. Garbage. I can only hope an elga rep sees this. I've been through 4 cards over the last year bc of this nonsense. Customer since 08' Been nothing but good to me. This junk card business is close to shifting my business elsewhere.... read more
