We were rushing to find an assisted living community for my father following his stroke, and wanted a place where we knew he'd be well cared for, but also encouraged and supported in his recovery and continued independence. I was thrilled to find Elegance, an absolutely lovely community in a fabulous part of Berkeley. They made the transition and move-in so smooth for us, and my dad felt not just welcomed, but embraced. Had a horrible time with the Elegance move-in coordinator, Anthony, when attempting to transition my mother to this new living situation a few weeks back. He was rude and dismissive. We'll be looking elsewhere for her to live.
