I was skeptical at first because my mom at 88 years old had been at other facilities in Corpus before. Before my mom moved in to the Elan Misti had told me the wonderful things that they would do for my mom. It turned out that everything she said was not only true, but they have been going far beyond my expectations! They do everything that they said the would do and more. When the time came to relocate my older sister to a memory care facility, the Elan staff worked wonderfully to meet our needs in a timely manner. All the staff has embraced her with so much affection, that she truly feels at home. She is going on a year's stay there, and we have never observed any negativity towards her and our family. Everyone is so friendly and helpful! The food is excellent way better than what we were use to! Everyone makes my Mom feel special! We moved here so excited from our family perspective my mom was hesitant to move, but now she is so happy she made this move. We are too. We are grateful for Misti the community relations director. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Elan Assisted Living! The community itself is absolutely beautiful, but what truly sets it apart are the people. Every single caregiver and staff member we’ve met has been so sweet, genuine, and truly passionate about their work. The building grounds are all beautiful, but very understaffed most patients will wind up with bruises due to falls due to lack of supervision. Front office will sell you the world then reality sets in of it being another for profit home that is really cutting a lot of corners and your loved one will be the one to suffer. Management let's there emotions and feelings get in the way of them doing there job if you Complain about anything, they will start to ignore you and and give you the cold shoulder.
