This office is extremely dishonest; the lack of transparency from the very beginning is unbelievable. They applied for credits we shouldn't have claimed and then charged exorbitant fees for the service. Marcelo acted improperly and dishonestly by claiming credits we weren't entitled to, securing a large refund while also charging a service fee for an amount that was never agreed upon. Cannot stress enough how terrible my experience with El Contador has been. This so-called "tax company" in Miami Lakes is nothing short of a scam. They are dishonest and don't give you the full details of the work they do—or rather, the shady work they are involved in. From the start, I was misinformed and left in the dark about key parts of my tax filing. They mismanaged my refund, and when I tried to resolve it, I was met with rude behavior and vague excuses.
