Good idea but samples we received look very much like plastic. I would rather pay half the price and get timber as it looks and feels so much better and then keep it stained every couple of years to look after it. Cost of timber upkeep over 20years would be similar to initial Ekodeck costs. Not a fan sorry.
Very impressed with the EcoDeck product used on our recent decking project. The material quality is excellent—just as described—with a solid, consistent finish and great colour. It looks fantastic and best of all, there’s no annual maintenance required. It’s exactly what we were hoping for in a low-maintenance, long-lasting decking solution. Highly recommend EcoDeck if you want something that performs as well as it looks.
Thank you Ekodeck for making it easy to come to a decision on our decking. With limited examples of choices locally, for a small fee a sample box was sent very quickly and we were able to make an informed decision. We chose Ekodeck, in a colour not available to inspect locally, and we are very happy with our choice. Our deck will be erected by a local professional. The sample box will be passed on to our builder who can use it to assist future clients in their decision making process.
As a deck builder, I’ve worked with a lot of decking products — and this board is one I keep coming back to. I rarely provide reviews but in this case I feel the need. Our builders built a spectacular deck but I am disappointed with the product used. Ekodeck sand the boards before they leave the warehouse which leaves lots of fibres fraying from the board and little ability to remove them. It's a microplastic nightmare. It also scratches really easily. More than I ever thought possible. Within two weeks there are heaps of scratches everywhere including really deep and obvious ones.
