Terrible customer service and their representatives will insult you if you press them to do the job they are paid to do. My attempt to merely change my homeowner's insurance providers has been a headache and is taking the better part of a month because their mortgage department puts their own customers at the last priority during property tax season apparently. This bank has let us down multiple times throughout the years of having them. Not only has the banking experience been lackluster the customer service and attitude of the staff has gotten poor. We made a substantial payment by check that was ran twice. The ORIGINAL check was ran twice for the same amount. The company we paid did not receive double the amount we paid them but the money is gone from my account none the less. EFCU operators are rude, unfriendly and one told me “have the day you deserve” when I called. If someone wanted to call the bank and pay off my auto account, I would gladly let them. All of these “rules” they have are simply so people working for them who are ignorant can flex their muscle under the guise of customer protection.
