This place is the most wonderful hidden treasure, tucked away in an unassuming shopping centre at st ives. I was warmly welcomed by Adam, Edith's son and i became enamoured with the place as he told stories and taught me things, put weights of gold in my hand and showed me how to define makers marks. He didn't try to sell me anything but was happy to clean my ring and have a look. By the time i left i felt like i'd visited another time, it was better than a powerhouse museum tour.
