I had a couple of days here as staff and had to leave. There is no continuity of care for residents. It is not a calm environment with staff rushing about and the facility is too big, residents get lost both physically and emotionally. A HUGE TV playing pop music or the news makes for a poor and confusing atmosphere. At meals the ladies I assisted had their meals cut short as meal time had ended! EDENHOLME: A 21ST CENTURY CARE HOME RUN LIKE A 1970S BRITISH LEYLAND CAR FACTORY. Personal observations from the son of a former resident. Edenholme is a modern,purpose built care facility,which,on the whole was kept in a clean and tidy state by a group of friendly,well mannered cleaners. Work with agency and over the years I have been in most care homes. Many fall short of the care we would wish for elderly relatives. This place is a very pleasant surprise. The standards of care, cleanliness and facilities are the best I have ever seen.
