I returned today early for simple status of a caretaker not receiving a response, old security lady for the AM was not welcoming, she automatically was grilling us “who the person receiving/who’s the applicant!?” Tryna explain I’m here w/my caregiver, she demanded me to go DOWN STAIRS. Confused, cuz there is an extra waiting room across the hall way. Literally made me feel like I didn’t belong there as a supporting recipient of care, honestly felt profiled. I have to say much to my surprise I dealt with the people on the 4th floor. they were incredibly friendly. Also the security throughout the building was very respectful with my service animal and I have to say I was very nervous coming to deal with this government office because they’re normally a pain in the butt to deal with but this one was incredible people were super helpful and I just wanna say thank you very much.
18 people served in 90 minutes. What a shonda.
Second time coming to this Oakland Edd location employees are rude and do not want to help you with any disability problems
