I've rented many many cars over the years. I've never had to show a proof of insurance card. Apparently that is this place's 'policy' or else they make you buy their 25/dollar a day insurance. No thanks. Stupid policy.
Do not rent- 100% scam. They did not send me any email confirmation of any rental agreements. (This way I don't have access to terms and conditions). They told me they will email me the pictures and a :27 second video of the vehicle in my email. They sent me all that. I was able to see it. But when I started to wonder why I did not get a refund for my $250 deposit, I tried finding the pics and videos on my phone. They simply did not exist. These guys are scamming people out right. Dishonest Practices and No Accountability — Beware If I could give zero stars I would !!!! I had a disappointing experience with Economy Rent A Car at Houston IAH. At the time of pickup, the employee was alone, clearly overwhelmed, and rushed through the entire process.
