When we started with this group we were kept informed of our investments and had a meeting every quarter to go over said investments. We have not heard anything from them for months now. Texts aren't answered. Phone calls not returned. We have modest investments but my only guess is that we don't have enough money for them to bother with. We're moving our money to a different firm. Ignoring your customers is not the way to keep business.
I shopped for financial advisors, with initially frustrating results. Multiple big banks would tell me they would manage my portfolio and meet with me regularly, and then a year would go by with no contact (except for collecting their fees.) The team at Echelon Group has been very responsive and caring over the almost ten years that they have been our family financial advisor. Echelon was also the investment advisor for my former company's 401(k) plan. As a plan fiduciary, I was always comfortable that they were working hard for the 401(k) participants and keeping the company compliant.
