As far as lumberyards go this one has to be the friendliest. Everyone I encountered was open to offering assistance and help. Only been there twice now, but on the first name basis with a couple of the employees. They seem to have ample quantities of just about everything lumber. They also have an entire section devoted to just cedar which is important here on the island. The only downside I can see is the parking is a bit hazard and unorganized. Small town hardware with significant house-building, and home remodel supplies. Have been restoring historical homes for past 10 years and have used this company based on their customer service. Since writing the above, have been working on a house built 200 years ago, and deserving of fine hardware and select wood. Cottle’s has it, and if not they’ll order and deliver. And let’s not forget those small items that nobody has..Cottle’s has ‘em. Check them out.
