Our company hired Eastman and Smith as corporate counsel last year to replace our prior corporate counsel who retired. There was a falling out among the shareholders, who negotiated a buyout agreement among themselves and then turned to Eastman and Smith to formalize the agreement. Instead of proceeding to bring about the amicable buyout to fruition, their aggressive tactics alienated some of the shareholders which led to the filing of suit and all shareholders had to retain separate Counsel to represent themselves.
