Kayak Guide Great store, lots of outdoors gear at wonderful prices!!! Staff is very knowledgeable with products and is a fun place to see. I love the fleece jackets, and the cool ski dept. Free Climbing on sundays who can beat that!!!

Calling all Tree Huggers Having gone to College in Vermont I use to visit EMS on the regular. I always needed ski gear, hiking gear and just the proper attire so that I would fit in with my tree hugging friends. Well with that being said, a lot has changed in my life since my Vermont days but one thing still remains the same, Eastern Mountain Sports Rocks!
Take the hike! I'm planning a camping trip this summer and was looking for a good place to buy gear. Whenever I asked friends where I should go they ALL mentioned Eastern Mountain Sports. That in and of itself is pretty cool, but I was even more impressed once I got there. The place is huge, clean, and has a great selection. I don't have a lot of money to spend so I spent about an hour just browsing around and pricing things out that were in my budget, and I found a lot of quality gear that fit within my price-range. sporting goods Talk about Great gadgets for outdoor activities. I love walking around this store. Always something new. Backpacks, waterbottles, socks, camping food, etc... I like their great quality of clothing for biking. The drawback is that this location does not carry anything for children, nor do they carry kayaking gear. EMS Soho primarily carries products for cycling, hiking/camping, and climbing. This location carries a large selection of footwear on their second floor. Great sidewalk sales Even though the prices are a little high to begin with, EMS is always having sidewalk sales that bring them down to a range of reasonable to pretty cheap!
Good sized store This location is pretty well run. It does have a lot of selection for the different products. It is tought when you buy something big because there really is no parking nearby.
