They dont answer the phone
I love Eastern Bank's community contributions and their reputation for inclusiveness. Day to day, though, the bank's digital platform is limited and makes banking difficult at times. For example, you can't make a transfer on a non-business day but instead of blocking those days on the calendar, the platform just lets you pick a non-business date as a choice but then doesn't send the transaction at all. *I'm updating this review after a lovely conversation with the manager - I really appreciate her effort to rectify the experience and make sure the issue was resolved. Awful customer service - the person I spoke to clearly had no idea how to address my issue and just kept telling me it was my fault (which, even if it was, some help would have been nice). Then he said I needed to call "the 800 number" and when I asked what that number was, he acted like I was an absolute idiot for not having their main number memorized. Thank... read more
